Welcome: Paper Dollhouse

 

We’ve been in touch with Paper Dollhouse for a while now, ever since some records were exchanged, and were flattened by the stark, enveloping beauty of their second LP Aeonflower. We were flattered that the duo wanted to release it through Night School, so it’s with a lot of excitement we present Helios from Aeonflower.

Aeonflower will be released on March 2nd. The vinyl will be limited to 500 and you can pre-order it here

Our friends over at Bird Records are making a limited cassette edition and will be selling digital formats.

Ever since a chance meeting at Les Urbaines festival in Lausanne, Switzerland, we’ve maintained close communications with James and are incredibly proud to present Nouveauree. One of the most open-minded and free-thinking musicians working in the field, Prostitutes brings a perverted sense of funk and a punk attitude to the chopping table. Records will ship beginning of September.

Thank you for all your support and orders over the last few months. Having completed our move to Glasgow we’ve been enjoying the city immensely. It’s a good time to be here and we’re excited to be presenting some new discoveries on the label in the future.

Night School All Day

All Day And All Of The Night:

We are thrilled to present 9 of our favourite artists under one roof at the onset of Summer. On Bank Holiday Sunday May 25th Molly Nilsson and Group Rhoda will join Meddicine, Yong Yong, Clip Art, Hausfrau, Ubre Blanca, Happy Meals and Apostille at the Glasgow Art School. There will be a BBQ from 1am and dancing till 3am. The first 100 people through the door will receive a tape compilation You Know Where You Are featuring sounds from the 9 artists involved.

Screenprinted posters by artist Lucy Jones will also be on sale on the day.

Molly Nilsson: These Things Take Time Vinyl Reissue

We are thrilled to present, in partnership with Dark Skies Association, a special edition of Molly Nilsson‘s debut album These Things Take Time. Originally released in 2008, this is the first vinyl edition and comes in a double Gatefold LP edition with extra tracks, download card and a lush A2 screen-printed chrome on black poster. Charcoal Owls: Tin Roof

We’ve been listening to this album obsessively for two months so it’s a real pleasure to be able to now present it for preorder. 300 only, first 100 from Night School / the band will be CLEAR vinyl. Charcoal Owls is Tom James Scott and Russell Walker (Pheromoans / Bomber Jackets). Tin Roof is their first long playing vinyl album and is one of the most beautiful and weird records we’ve had the pleasure to release.
